Dr. Abdelmalak is a professor of anesthesiology at Cleveland Clinic. He leads Anesthesia for Bronchoscopy, and Anesthesiology oversight for Procedural sedation where he is also the Quality Improvement Officer. Past president of the Society for Head and Neck Anesthesia (SHANA), the Society for Ambulatory Anesthesia (SAMBA) and the Ohio Society of Anesthesiologists. A frequently invited lecturer at national and international conferences, He is well published in the areas of perioperative glucose and diabetes management, Anesthesia for Bronchoscopy and airway management and co-edited two textbooks Anesthesia for Otolaryngologic Surgery and Clinical Airway Management from Cambridge University press.
