Romain Corroenne, MD, PhD is a Maternal–Fetal Medicine specialist and clinician-scientist with expertise in fetal imaging and fetal surgery. He is currently an attending physician in Maternal–Fetal Medicine at Lille University Hospital (France) and holds an adjunct assistant professor appointment at Texas Children’s Hospital / Baylor College of Medicine (USA).

  He completed his training in Maternal–Fetal Medicine and fetal surgery in France, including at Necker–Enfants Malades Hospital (Paris), and subsequently undertook a research fellowship in fetal surgery at Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston. He holds a PhD focused on advanced fetal brain MRI.

  His research interests include fetal MRI (diffusion imaging, brain development and congenital anomalies), prenatal surgery for spina bifida, and the clinical application of artificial intelligence in fetal imaging. He has authored more than 70 peer-reviewed publications and is actively involved in international ultrasound teaching and research collaborations.
