Prof. Dr. A. Seval Ozgu-Erdinc has been in specialty practice for 38 years. After medical school (Hacettepe University), she had her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Istanbul University Cerrahpasa Medical School. She was certified as a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist in 2011. Between 2013 and 2020 she worked as a full-time IVF subspecialist at Zekai Tahir Burak Women’s Health Care, Training and Research Hospital and Ankara Bilkent City Hospital. She was certified for IVF clinical practice in 2013 and certified for IVF laboratory practice in 2016. She worked as an “Educator” in the IVF unit for the trainees between 2018 and 2020. In 2020 she worked as the “Educating Chief” of the maternity ward.  Between 2021-2023 she worked in the Gynecology department. Between 2023-2025 she worked in the Perinatology department in Bilkent City Hospital. Since January 2026 she is working in the Perinatology department in İzmir City Hospital .

She has published 282 scientific papers (99 publications in PubMed/SCOPUS/WOS; 38 publications in national journals; 19 book chapters; 71 international and 55 national presentations/posters), with 1052 citations resulting with the H-index of 17 in WOS and with 2329 citations resulting with the H-index of 25 in Google Scholar. She has special interest on GDM screening, diagnosis and management (20 published papers on GDM) and she has been actively involved in clinical research trials exploring new and novel ways to improve the outcomes for women and their babies with gestational diabetes mellitus.
