I am a tenured Professor of Pathology and Dermatology and a practicing Dermatopathologist with over 15 years of experience. My clinical and research interests include cutaneous adnexal tumors, cutaneous lymphomas, and melanocytic lesions. I have authored/co-authored numerous publications and book chapters, especially in the area of cutaneous adnexal neoplasms. My expertise as diagnostician for cutaneous adnexal tumors is nationally and internationally recognized; therefore, my opinion is often requested in challenging cases.

I was invited to present and chair numerous courses and seminars at national and international meetings and academic institutions, including the meetings of American Society of Dermatopathology (ASDP), International Society of Dermatopathology (ISDP), United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP), College of American Pathologists (CAP), American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), etc. I am an active member of the American Society of Dermatopathology (ASDP) where I currently serve as the Chair of the Membership Committee. I am also part of the Executive Committee of the International Society of Dermatopathology (ISDP).

I consider myself a passionate teacher and I have been an active educator my entire career. Since 2012, I am the Dermatopathology Fellowship Director and I currently serve as the Chair of Education and Training Committee in the Division of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. My passion for education was recognized with the 2017 and 2019 President’s Mentorship and Teaching Awards and the 2018 Outstanding Program Director Award. I am also actively involved in the institutional Graduate Medical Education (GME), served as vice-chair and chair of GME Committee and I am currently the chair of the GME Budget Subcommittee.

Sunt Profesor titular de Patologie și Dermatologie și medic dermatopatolog cu peste 15 ani de experiență. Interesele mele clinice și de cercetare includ tumorile anexiale cutanate, limfoamele cutanate și leziunile melanocitare. Am publicat, în calitate de autor sau coautor, numeroase articole științifice și capitole de carte, în special în domeniul neoplaziilor anexiale cutanate. Expertiza mea în diagnosticul tumorilor anexiale cutanate este recunoscută la nivel național și internațional, motiv pentru care opinia mea este frecvent solicitată în cazuri dificile.

Am fost invitată să susțin și să coordonez numeroase cursuri și seminarii la reuniuni științifice și instituții academice naționale și internaționale, inclusiv în cadrul întâlnirilor organizate de American Society of Dermatopathology (ASDP), International Society of Dermatopathology (ISDP), United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP), College of American Pathologists (CAP), American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) etc. Sunt membru activ al American Society of Dermatopathology (ASDP), unde în prezent ocup funcția de Președinte al Comitetului de Membership. De asemenea, fac parte din Comitetul Executiv al International Society of Dermatopathology (ISDP).

Mă consider un cadru didactic dedicat și pasionat, fiind implicată activ în educație pe tot parcursul carierei mele. Din 2012 sunt Director al Programului de Fellowship în Dermatopatologie și în prezent ocup funcția de Președinte al Comitetului de Educație și Formare din cadrul Diviziei de Patologie și Medicină de Laborator. Activitatea mea didactică a fost recunoscută prin acordarea President’s Mentorship and Teaching Awards în 2017 și 2019, precum și a premiului Outstanding Program Director Award în 2018.

Sunt implicată activ și în programul instituțional de Graduate Medical Education (GME), unde am ocupat funcțiile de vicepreședinte și președinte al Comitetului GME, iar în prezent sunt președinte al Subcomitetului pentru Buget GME.
