Dear Colleagues,
The professional society „UNIUNEA PATOLOGILOR” (UNIPAT) is honored to invite you to the first edition of The Romanian National Congress of Anatomical and Molecular Pathology, an event dedicated to excellence, collaboration and innovation in the field of pathology.
This congress marks a milestone for the Romanian medical community, bringing together specialists from academic centers, public and private laboratories in an interdisciplinary setting that fosters scientific dialogue and professional growth.
The program will open with the “Library of Biomarkers” session, organized in a multidisciplinary format to highlight the pathologist’s crucial role in modern oncology and the integration of anatomical and molecular pathology within precision medicine. The 2026 edition will focus on upper gastrointestinal cancers and endometrial cancer.
A special highlight will be the Young Pathologists Forum, dedicated to residents — serving as a platform for mentorship, research, and intergenerational collaboration—organized by the UNIPAT Young Pathologists Group.
Through this first congress, UNIPAT aims to strengthen collaboration among medical institutions across Romania and create a strong network for knowledge and experience exchange.
We warmly invite you to be part of history — by participating, engaging, and supporting the first Romanian National Congress of Anatomical and Molecular Pathology.
With kind regards,
Prof. Dr. Diana Ionescu
President of UNIPAT,
on behalf of the Organizing Committee
