Dr. Emilian Olteanu is a Consultant Thoracic Pathologist at the Royal Brompton in London, part of the UK's largest specialist heart and lung centre. With a deep focus on thoracic pathology, clinical immunology, and oncology, his expertise was shaped by fellowship training at the BC Cancer Agency (Vancouver, Canada) and the University of Padova (Italy).
Dedicated to advancing the field through professional service, Dr. Olteanu currently serves as Co-chair of the Autopsy Pathology Working Group within the European Society of Pathology (ESP) and is an active ESP Alumni member. As a co-founder of the Union of Pathologists (UNIPAT), he is proud to contribute to this inaugural national congress. Dr. Emilian Olteanu este Medic Specialist în Patologie Toracică la Spitalul Royal Brompton din Londra, parte a celui mai mare centru specializat în boli cardiovasculare și pulmonare din Marea Britanie. Expertiza sa în patologia toracică, imunologia clinică și oncologie a fost consolidată prin stagii de pregătire (fellowships) la BC Cancer Agency (Vancouver, Canada) și Universitatea din Padova (Italia).
Dedicat dezvoltării domeniului, Dr. Olteanu ocupă funcția de copreședinte al Grupului de Lucru pentru Patologia de Autopsie din cadrul Societății Europene de Patologie (ESP). În calitate de co-fondator al Uniunii Patologilor (UNIPAT), participarea sa la acest prim congres național reprezintă un moment de referință.
