Prof. Dr. Gabriel Kacso is a Professor at UMF „Iuliu Hațieganu” Department of Oncology-Radiotherapy. He followed training courses in Paris, Nice and Vienna, and exchanges in Germany, Switzerland and the USA.

Double specialization in Radiotherapy and Medical Oncology respectively. More than 10 years of personal experience in modern external radiotherapy techniques (IMRT, VMAT, SBRT) and brachytherapy (interstitial and endocavitary) in various cancers (breast, prostate, ENT, soft tissue sarcomas, gynaecological cancers and others).

Principal Investigator in numerous international clinical trials in Radiotherapy or Medical Oncology.
Completion of 10 national research grants.

From 1994 to 2014 he was a physician in the Departments of Radiotherapy and then Brachytherapy of the Oncological Institute of Cluj.

Prof. Dr. Gabriel Kacso is a member of the Romanian (SRROM), Balkan (BUON), European (ESTRO) and American (ASTRO) Societies of Radiotherapy Oncology.
