Dr. Popescu graduated from medical school at the University for Medicine and Pharmacy "Carola Davila" Bucharest, Romania. She began residency training in Bucharest and continued her training at the Institut for Pathology, RKH-Klinikum Ludwigsburg, Germany, where she is currently a fifth year resident (PGY-7), holding the position of chief resident. She is interested in a broad range of anatomic pathology subspecialties, but has a particular interest for bone and soft tissue pathology (BST) as well as genitourinary pathology (GU). She is actively involved in promoting pathology education using online social media platforms such as Twitter/X, KiKo, and YouTube. She is always open to scientific collaborative proposals.
